The course intends to prepare Professional Nurses, who are committed to the promotion of Health, Prevention of Illness and Care & Rehabilitation of the sick. It provides breadth and depth of knowledge to enable the Nurses to function effectively in varied nursing situations where a nurse may work.

Areas of study include Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology. First Aid, Nutrition, Biochemistry, P.S.M., Psychology, Sociology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Community Health Nursing Psychiatric Nursing, Medical & Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing etc. English and Computer Education are also taught during the course as an Elective subject.

Nursing as a profession has come a long way from being just assistant to doctor and carrying out specific skill to a highly demanding field which is based on a highly scientific body of knowledge the various dimensions of nursing are ever changing with new discoveries and innovations. It means that a professional nurse learn to deliver care art fully with compassion caring and a respect for each client's dignity and personhood.

Udaipur College of Nursing offer full time degree course, which is of 4 year duration. On successful competition of the course, the student will be awarded a bachelor of science degree in nursing which is equivalent to any other degree from a recognized university.
